Samsung Lcd Tv Brightness Problem?
Hi, i 've got a samsung lcd tv model le40a556 approx 18 months old. it does a strange thing with the picture brightness. if a scene in a film or show gets darker then a split second later the picture on the tv gets darker still. this means that a lot of scenes filmed in the dark are impossilble to view in a normal, day lit room. when the light level in the scene goes up again, so does the tv, instantly. i have asked samsung about this but their customer services people don 't know enough about the tv 's to help. i 'm sure it 's just a set up issue, but i 've spent a lot of time on it now and have got nowhere.anyone have any ideas? thanks. I have a samsung lcd tv, 32 ", model number la32b450, which is about a year old and has always worked pretty fine. i 've been using it in pc mode to watch things on it through my pc, but when i switched back to tv mode today it had a strong green tint over all the channels. it doesn 't have it when i 'm in pc mode - my pc screen shows up on the tv screen fine. i 've tried adjusting the colours, but it makes no difference. i 've tried turning it off and on by remote, and also by unplugging it, but everything remains green. it 's never done this until today. does anyone know what might be causing this and what i can do to fix it? thanks.i just tried the analogue channels and they work fine, but the digital ones remain with the green tint. How To Fix Hdmi Connection Problem With Samsung Lcd Tv?
I have searched around on forums but couldnt find a solution to this particular problem.im currently having difficulties connecting my ps3 to my samsung lcd tv (model le32n73bd) via a hdmi cable.both hdmi1 and hdmi2 are 'greyed out ' and unavailable on source list menu, and so i cant select hdmi from source button, even when the ps3 is turned on.the problem isnt with the ps3 as i have reset the display settings and used it on other tvs without any problems as well as this one many times previously.ive had this tv for a couple of years now and never had this problem, its only started since ive had the tv repaierd. i recently had a problem with the tv whereby it just wouldnt turn on except the blue standby light would blink. i had this repaired (replaced the psu i think) and the tv works fine now except for the hdmi problem im having.ive tried using the composite cable and that works fine and the problem is definetly not the hdmi cable as i have checked that it does work on my other samsung tv.any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks (Read answers)
